About the game, although there are many variations to the game and strategies
differ from game to game, the order of the winning cards remains the same. A
large number of the game's variation's are played with the 52 card deck. The
cards are ranked according to the number on the face of the card, in the
following order: ace, king, queen, jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2.
In spite of being the highest ranking card, the ace can also substitute for the
lowest ranking card. In some games, a wild card is declared and this card can
substitute for any of the other cards. The numbers and faces of the cards are
again differentiated as clubs, diamond, spades and hearts.
